NSFA ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT

The National Stanley Family Association elected its 4th President in its 16 year history on Saturday, June 25th during its annual Business Meeting held at Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, Virginia. The outgoing President Rev.Dr. Arthur L. Stanley thanked the membership for their support during his four-year tenure, and provided an overview of progress and development during his term of office.

The newly elected and installed President is PAUL L. STANLEY of Scottsdale, Arizona. Born in 1925 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a Bombardier. Later he received a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a PhD. in Pastoral Counseling. He was recalled to the military during the Korean War and served as a Chaplain, both in Korea and in France.

Following his military service he served numerous Baptist churches as a Minister of Counseling and as an Interim Pastor. His wife Lois holds a degree in Education with a major in music and Business. They are retired in Scottsdale, Arizona and have two sons and three grandchildren.

Dr. Stanley was a co-compiler of Volume IV of the Stanley & Allied Families genealogy series published by the National Stanley Family Association.

He will serve a two-year term as President of the association.
