The reunion will be held at the Plainfield Friends Meeting House.  All activities other than the tours will take place at this Meeting House. See the Maps link above or Reunion Information for directions on how to get there.

Reunion materials, including meal tickets, may be picked up at the first place attendees visit.  See place list below.  Pre-registration by mail is required.  No meal tickets will be issued after the June 10th deadline.

1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Informal talk and tour during normal museum hours of Academy of Hoosier Heritage - Academy Building, 250 N Monroe St, Mooresville, IN.  Museum has permanent and temporary education exhibits and one-room school room.  No fees, but contributions are welcome.  Website: www.academymuseum.org
4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Registration, Coffee & Conversation at Plainfield Friends Meeting House

7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Cindy Rutledge discusses Nathan & Sarah Carter Stanley Family in Hendricks & Morgan Counties, Indiana.  She will include a history of Mill Creek Meeting & Sugar Grove Meeting.

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Presentation by Cindy Rutledge on Friends Divided - Separation of 1877 in Indiana.  After several years of turmoil, Western Yearly Meeting divided in 1877.  The yearly meeting was separated into two extreme positions.  One followed the traditional doctrine of the society including silent meetings for worship.  The second position reflected the beliefs of the influx of new members who were not concerned with traditional Quaker practices.  These members began worship services that were programmed and included singing and other nontraditional practices.  This division of beliefs led to the Separation of 1877.  Six meetings were separated including two in Hendricks County – Mill Creek and Plainfield.
