National Stanley Family Association Reunion 2005
Return to the Old Dominion
June 24, 25, 2005
Hanover County, Virginia

The 2005 NSFA planning committee would like to extend a warm Stanley invitation to all NSFA members, anyone of Stanley descent, and friends to attend our reunion.

The reunion will be held June 24, 25, 2005 in the Estes Dining Hall on the campus of Randolph-Macon College, Ashland, VA.  Randolph-Macon College is closely located to Interstates 95 & 64.  The meals will be catered by Chartwells.

Ashland is located in Hanover County, VA, the ancestral grounds of all Stanleys that trace their lineage to Thomas Stanley and his known three sons:  James, Thomas, Jr., and John.  Their baptismal records are in the vestry book at St. Peter’s Parish, a short distance away in New Kent County, VA.

The planning committee members: Russell & Ruby Bumpass, Elizabeth Cannon, Bonnie & Roy Andersen, Carolyn Pollard Nelson, Mary Ellen Cauthorn, Edward & Shirley Stanley, Barbara Stanley Dixon, Amy White and Earl & June Stanley.

LODGING:  Ashland is about 10 miles from King’s Dominion, a “Disneyland-type amusement park” and due to the high demand for lodging at this time of year no rooms have been reserved.  The map below lists the motels and their location in relation to the college.  Everyone is responsible for making their own room reservations.  This can be done via the internet or a phone call and reservations should be made early.
